sat was a roar! finally had our approximately-half-yr-ly dans gathering! and for the first time after grad, we had FULL ATTENDENCE! =) so happy~ heh heh. oh and we went to Central (as in the hk cafe, not clarke quay) for dinner! and we talk and talk and talked until like very solemn lidat -_-''' hahahah. and of coz the usual funny weird comments tossed in, and the unconstructive stuff thrown out by porkie! :p

then after dinner, we migrated to Coffee Bean @ Paragon to continue talking. hahaha. now change to less yan su de hua ti~ start talking abt me and jess..which was super funny.. hahaha. and everything feels so nice, like back to everyone sitting at the lower cafe in SA, and chatting happily again! :)

nwae, i know i look equally not nice in the photos, but i still wanna post them up even if yuyu deardear kills me after that or erm..complain to toolbox!?? haha i duno why she threatened to complain to toolbox also..seriously i dun see the link and wad she can complain abt -_-''' hahaha everybody just links everything to toolbox nowadays. ytd was an equally oohlala! day! went to deardear's fren's wedding!! ^^

and since it was a lunch buffet that was supposed to start at 1130, and deardear was a helper, i went early with him. so i had to pull myself out of bed at like 7 and leave hse at 8+. met hong and dear and headed to swissotel together, where we took the london cab they chartered, to ritz carlton, to meet winson(the groom) to get stuff from him. then we london cab-ed back to where we were supposed to be stationed at ritz carlton, and stoned there and talk crap for very long. we were supposed to direct the guests to the london cab service btw, but there was hardly any ppl la. (it was a small scale wedding nwae..less than 100guests) then joe, yong, zhong, zhen came.. and zhaoxue came too! ahaaaa~ then after seeing all the rest off, hong zx dear me finally took the last london cab to ritz carlton, where everyone was waiting for us to start the solemnization! =X hahaa~

and omg! caobei(the bride) looked SO SO SO PRETTY!!! =) and it was the first time i attended the type of wedding whereby the bride was accompanied out by the father, then later passed on to the groom lidat. and i think it's very very niceeeee! :) and was so happy to see them exchanging their vows and all that, and i almost cried. hahahaa =X

then i was intro-ed to ALOT of ppl. junjun beishan siewern cj kailing zai qiqi bin nicole zhongliang selina. SEE. i so li hai can rmb all the names!! =) hahaaa. i say hi say until i blur lor. it's the biggest clique i've ever encountered.. +/-20 ppl leh! aha. =) no gurantee whether i can still match the name to the face though.. haha. but it's okay! i guess we'll still get to meet up again one day! :)

anyway, it was one of the most heartwarming weddings i've ever attended. there were, no doubt very little guests, but all of them are very close and like really zi ji ren lidat de. and the clique is really very very close! and everyone made the effort to come down to give their blessings.. so nice! =) and we took turns proposing a toast to the bride and groom after that..haha but i toasted and deardear drank on my behalf =P heh heh.

oh then we went to starbucks @ MS to rot after that. we were just waiting for time to pass coz we booked a room for kbox at 5pm! heh heh. and we were all so sleepy alrdy by the time. hahaha. everyone woke up early ma~

and kbox finally started at 5pm.. and we became more awake.. hahaa. and it was very very fun! :) it's the first time i went to a 14ppl kbox session can. hahaa. and we took the buffet package which was super ex and super not very nice at all. choked up to abt 34 per pax! O_O heh then dear and i went off at abt 10, and he sent me home le lor.

wooooo! and that ended our very tiring day out from 8.30am-11pm! so we basically just conked out after reaching home. but it was a very happy day!! and i finally yi ci guo meet all of dear's clique! hahahaa.. so nice.. =)

and supposed to go for bbq with dear's clique again today.. but after so many days out and looking at mummy's black face, i decided i better stay home. haa must zi dong yi dian..don't wait until empress dowager pan si xing le cai lai ku~ lol.

and it just kind of dawned upon me nonchalently that it's the last day of the year alrdy! =O seriously the yr just zoomed past so fast that it hardly feels like the end of the yr now. usually, on this day, i would have a mountain load of crap to talk about, and endless silly resolutions to make. but strangely, this year, i feel so resolution-less. not even the usual study harder and all that.. is that supposed to mean i'm happy enough with my life, or is that supposed to mean i alrdy dao le jue wang de di bu? -_-'''

oh oh! results finally came out last night. mad rush for degree audit and system hanged big time. its worse than registration day! =X

anyway, i don't know what to feel abt my results also. most of the grades were pretty much within my expectations except AbPsy which i thought i was going to get a C, so i'm not complaining. but i was hoping for an A for maths! ok la, maybe i really shouldn't set unrealistic goals. but i didn't get any A-range grades for all my cores! and at the rate my gpa is dropping, my 2nd upper's flying away from me le. hai.

but still, i'm pretty much satisfied as compared to last sem ba. actually i think a lot of ppl did better than last sem too. yay! ji xu nu li ba~ =)

went to watch I Am Legend with dear ytd afternoon! it was crap. -_-''' and i was complaining to my bro after that at nite that the movie was so uber boring with only one person in it most of the time plus a couple of not-too-gross-looking-but-noisy-and-jumpy-monsters. and he said "what did you expect? it's called I Am Legend, not We Are Legend." -_-''''''''

but still, ytd was a happy day out with dear! haha actually, everyday's a happy day out with him! *ahems* =p

oh and we met up with The Matchmakers ??? (dear insisted they shld not be called matchmakers coz is he pick the girl himself then only ask them to help out de -.-'') at night! heh heh. and they so poor thing, did us such a big favour and only got treated to PORRIDGE all thanks to yours truly! who was on a very strict diet as imposed by dear and mummy.

and it was fun! heh heh. like first time 4 of us go out together and double dating lidat! xianxian say bu xi guan lidat, and i offered to hold hands with her instead and let the guys hold hands too. but too bad the guys didn't want. so sad! hahahaha~

oh and the porridge was actually quite good! ^^ and they had icecream after that while i looked. hahaa so sad xianxian's beloved dessert stall was closed liao~ not like i can eat too either..so i nvm~ wahahaa

oh and we learnt that i must start to blog not-so-sweetly, or else xianxian keep complaining to ss then he will go and scold deardear for spoiling market. hahaha!

this has got to be the most lethargic xmas ever spent. i absolutely hate being sick. and my throat has never felt this horrible ever. reminds me of shi guang ji

then dear bf hx me went for dinner at Central. we went in search of Waraku, but they only had super ex xmas set meals to offer, thus we ended up in a restaurant selling only curry udon. which was a very wrong choice, coz after all that singing and squealing with an already-sore-throat, the curry udon was the last straw, and my voice turned way sexy before it totally disappeared.

but anyway, dear and i continued to take a stroll ard Clarke Quay, which was niceeee! :) oh and we watched ppl taking the Singapore Bungee or whatever you call that. which seemed to be uber not scary and uber not exciting at all. hahahaa. it actually seems to go kind of low. think its just the moment u get flung up thats scary, but after that everything gets kind of slow and boring when you're rocking midair. hahaa. i say until i really go and take the ride lidat. -_-''' scarly i go one day and pee in my pants before i get flung up. ha.

and that ended my merry simple but very very happy xmas eve. =)

yay. spent half my day reading Jodi Picoult's Perfect Match. it's a great book, like all other Jodi Picoult books! but i haven't been reading a lot this hols like i used to. don't know.. as i grow older, the urge to read seems to keep diminishing unless i settle down with a really good book! heh. i'm becoming more BIMBO =( maybe it's coz read too much stuff during school term le ba, so i've become a little repulsive of reading anything now. pathetic lil' excuses to justify myself. hah.

anyways, i'm getting a lil' excited about this movie they're filming now about another of Jodi Picoult's book - My Sister's Keeper! it's the first Jodi Picoult book i read and what made me fell in love with her writing! hahaha. and it's really fantastic! ask ANYBODY who has read it, and they'll tell you the same thing =)

oh FINALLY went shopping with mummy ytd! hahaa. if i haven't told you about her story, it goes that she was on leave for about a week, and keep asking me to go out with her.. then i pushed away all my programs to go out with her one day after another, for a total of THREE days, but she pushed it back time and again, either coz it was raining or she wanted to do spring cleaning. *Sigh* can u imagine mab even wished me "i sincerely hope you get to go out with your mum tmr" -_-'''

there was this barber cutting hair for his customers in his shop. then he always tell his customers about how there was actually stupid enough to choose the $1 coin if offered a $10 note and a $1 coin. the customers didn't believe.. so he called this boy who was perpetually loitering outside his shop to come in. then the barber offered the boy a $10 note and a $1 coin and asked which one he wanted. to the customers' amazement, he indeed picked the $1 coin and left the shop. and so the barber always demonstrated this to all his customers. and one day, after a customer left the shop, he happened to see the 'stupid' boy. so he asked the boy "why do you always pick the $1 coin? don't you know the $10 note is larger in value?" and the boy answered "yes. but if i picked the note, the game would have ended after one time."

watched Alvin and The Chipmunks on wednesday! it's damn cuteeeeee!! ^^ and i'm in love with the green chipmunk, Theodore!! =)) heh heh. so adorable! i want baby sharks no more. i'm getting a fat talking scared-of-nightmares chipmunk for a pet!! ahahaha. and the songs are très bien! as well! ahaha. they actually want a hula hoop for xmas! that is like super cuteeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

ok i shall stop drooling.

anyways, i think orchard xmas lightings are pretty ugly this year. but others are telling me they are pretty pretty! =X i miss the many many years ago when they hold competitions between shopping centres for xmas deco..now THAT is what i call festive season! =[

went to the new(i think?) MINDS cafe along Boat Quay ytd with all the manics except qiqi n fenfen. it was very very fun! heh heh. and i think the package we took was quite cheap too.. $5++ for 4hours of gaming! yayy~ and we played games that turned out hilarious. lol.

and wsc was funny last nite. haha. and the ride home with stephie was even funnier..and nice :) heh heh. happy happy! stephie betrayed me!! okay, that sounded contradicting -.-'' but then you can always treat it as a balanced pair~ aha. anyways, her brother was funny! yay. seems that her bro loves to laugh at her too.. he should become good frens with all the manics! =p

ok. after less than 5mins' break, i'm back in realisation that i've yet to blog abt this silly thing that happened while we were mugging for exams!

see, xian fen ahgong jc me were walking back to trex room after dinner.. and it was starting to drizzle. then i heard fenfen saying sth like "hey! it's starting to rain! then can go fold paper boats, and sail them in the rain!"

when no one seemed to react, i went "HUH!? what?? did i hear wrongly??"

then xian was like "huh what? why your reaction so big?"

and ahgong went "haha. no lor. if her rxn so big, and it's steph say de, them MUST hear!!"

and i was starting to laugh, and asked "did u just said sail paper boats in the rain?"

then fenfen sulked and turned red and started walking real fast ahead.

so everyone burst out laughing and couldn't stop. and we made so many mad comments about sailing that we couldn't stop laughing after that.

so after going back to trex room, xian and i got to work, and made this for our dear fenfen! =)









haha yes, we were damn bored from all that studying as you can see.. and so cute can..still got paddles for her to row! and it says I Love To Sail In Floods, and has i love the rain printed all around the borders.. haha! and the boat name called Innocent Express coz she always fake the innocent look ma. heh. and it's sailing to TRex Room! wahaha~

okayy finally koped the photos from julyn for the mlk trip.. so shall blog abt it.. yay! =)

1st day - 251107 Sunday

and we reached jul's hse in the evening, abt 5+ or 6+? ooh and ahh-ed at her beautiful hse (her bedroom has PINK walls OMG! got my bimbo-ness totally oozing heh.), dumped our stuff, then went out for dinner - satay celup! *grins*

as you can see, it's actually like our normal steamboat, but the 'soup base' is substituted with satay sauce instead! so it's not my first time eating it, but i still love it!

yay. after our yummy dinner, we went to this Jonker Street (or was it Jonker Walk?). it's actually a normal street if you go any other day or night, but on fri/sat/sun nights, it becomes a night market! =) yes, it's really nice and there are other shops by the streets too that sell equally cheap stuff! heh. it's really equivalent to a pasar malam selling stuff you find online or in some of the lower end shopping centres in sg! =p

and they have some little stores selling food too.. and we learnt that Ice Kachang is called ABC over there. hahaha and i have no idea why! yayyy. and we shopped until the place was closing liao, and got closing down sale! WHEE! hahaha so siao~ yeap. so we left the place nearing midnight i think. =)

and back at jul's hse, we started the daily tradition of oh-bey-som to decide who bathes first -.-'' ahaha. then tired and exhausted from all that bus ride and shopping, we slept almost immediately after bathing! =)


2nd day - 261107 Monday

we had bfast at this very nice looking prata place that sells many many other variety of malay foods too! =)

ok, after turning into 5 very awake and full and happy girls, we headed to A'Famosa Water World! and not coincidentally, it's my 3rd time there! =X haha but ok la, the other two times was so many years ago that i can't really rmb-ed what i played before haha.

like some island huh! =)

and then we went mad playing with all the rides! haha. i felt so adventurous! xian (who has also been there before..) dragged us to this totally scary and super high looking slide thingy.. and i was the only one who readily agreed to go up with her! aha. =D

hehe. so niceeeee! and after we finished taking all the rides, we went to rent the floats to go play in this pool with periodic tides, and also, this Lazy River, which you basically laze on the float, and you'll somehow find yourself moving around the river! aha. it was hilarious. coz we didn't want to bring too much money out, we underestimated the cost of the entrance fees, and were left with only enough money for 3 small floats. so we tried to share them, and had to get up them one after another, but the floats kept overturning (esp. when xian was on it!).. ahahhas! damn funnyyy. then the lazy river felt seriously lazy and helpless that xian and i started galloping on our float! -.-'' wahaha. then everyone got bored and we all started bullying hh! wahahha~ okayyy, and these are some of the crazy photos we took with the floats...

haha and after the tiring day of play, we slept in the car on our way back, while our poor darling wluekwluek drove us back sleepily too. haha.

and after reaching jul's home and bathing, we had very very nice Nasi Lemak prepared by her kakak! *grins* it was really uber good!

after the nice dinner, we headed to this shopping centre to shop and catch a movie! the shopping was great, but Beowulf sucked like nobody's business! *grimaces* we started wishing to get out of the cinema once the show started. ahaa.

then wluekwluek bot us to this place she was talking abt in the morning that also sell prata. but their prata had funny names like Prata Singapura, Prata India, Prata Jepun, Prata Chicago, etc.. and surprisingly, the most expensive one was Prata India, and the cheapest, Prata Chicago. -_-''' wahaha! but we were too full liao, so we just drank teh tarik, which wasn't that good la. bwah!

and after returning to The House and bathing, we played cards until like 2am, when xianxian got ultra high and we decided that we should all go to bed.. hahaha!


3rd day - 271107 Tuesday

we went back to Jonker Street for bfast! this time, we had mlk's famous chicken rice ball! yayy! first time trying it, and it was quite good! *grins*

look at the towering number of balls! (ehh sounds a lil' wrong -.-)

then after that, we headed for our facial!! *ta-dah!* hahaa.. the place was really quite good..they did an individual thorough analysis of all our faces which was quite scary, coz there was this picture of a face, and they looked at your face, started drawing on the picture many dots and crosses and blah. hahaha! you get damn demoralised after that! lol. but the facial was good lah - my first facial! heh. at first i was feeling quite pampered and all that.. then after very very very long, i started to fidget alot and got very bored. and after an even longer while, i started to get bedsores! haha. you know how i can't stay still for long... SO. haha.. go figure. nwae, it was still quite good overall. but takeaway from it is.. i think i'm not meant to be a taitai! =( well, at least not the type who goes for facial everyday. haha! maybe i should learn from lj, and aspire to be a housewife instead. *sigh*

ok! after our facial, we went to this nice lil' restaurant or cafe to eat cakes! it's called mille crepe, which got me excited, coz mille really meant thousand in French. haha. and this was what our cakes looked like...

and i'm telling you, it tasted DAMN GOOD. omg. i totally melted on the spot! *drools*

shopping again!! haha. so it was the last day and we had spent so much money and so little left, and we still wanted to go for dinner at the portugese village and take the ferris wheel ride, we scrimped and saved so much and didn't buy a lot of stuff we wanted to buy! =(

then we headed over for seafood at the Portugese Village for dinner! and if you know me, you'll know i'm not really a seafood person apart from fish.. but they were merciful and ordered stuff i ate! heh heh. =)

fried sotong! we really wanted to order sweet and sour chicken, but the person told us only got chicken wings left, and we figured we didn't want to try sweet and sour chicken wings.. =X so we went for sotong, which i supposedly didn't eat.. (hey! i don't eat my fellow blurblurs!) but since they chose fried sotong, the batter kinda covered up the taste and it actually tasted awesome! *smiles* moral of the story: fry me if i'm not being very nice. HAI. =[

portugese baked fish! it actually tastes a lil' like stingray.. but then the sauce is different and the fish is different. -_-''' what am i talking about.. haha. but then, it's really nice too! =))

butter garlic scallops! ding ding ding! MY PERSONAL FAV of the day! yummmei! if you love scallops and you love butter garlic, you'll simply love THIS! duh. hahaha. but it's really good and the scallops are seriously damn FRESH. *continues drooling*

mixed vegetable. as you can see, this ain't really seafood.. we just ordered it coz we thought we had too much unhealthy food for the past few days alrdy and were lacking fibre! *smiles*

omelette the person forgot abt it so it came last, and tasted awful btw. and to make it worse, we only had one mouth of rice each to go with it! hahaa.

nwae, everything amounted to a whooping 80RM, which is like equivalent to S$8 per pax! omg. tts the cheapest seafood i've ever eaten!! just a single stingray in sg would have cost more than that! =O so we decided that we must pai zhao liu nian by the sea~ hahaa

the night was still young! so we went for our long awaited Ferris Wheel ride! it's actually a new thing in mlk, that even jul haven't heard of. and it was actually MY father who suggested we go, and jul had to check it out first. haha. nwae, to our dismay after scrimping and saving during our whole afternoon of shopping, we arrived at the Ferris Wheel, only to realise that it costs only 5RM per pax. -_-''' i think it was the anchoring and adjustment heuristics at fault..we estimated that it'll be about sg price.. hai. qiqi almost went crazy and wanted to go back to shop. hahaha. but it was too late alrdy la. lol.

4th day - 281107 Wednesday

last day alrdy! we were supposed to take the 1.30pm bus.. we said bye to our uber uber lovely host family in the morning.. =) then jul's uber nice daddy wanted to treat us to dim sum.. =)) but then we went to TWO dim sum shops and both were so suay-ly closed for the day! =[ heh. but we had some taiwan pai gu mian instead, and it was very nice too! =))) hehe. no photos though, i can't rmb why..

then we went for more last min shopping so that can finish spending all the Ringgit. -_-''' hahaha. and here's one of the photos we took at the shopping centre with the nice candy hansel-and-gretel-looking house!

then we insisted on having our last meal in mlk, which we unanimously chose A&W, coz apparently, all of us went mad seeing the long lost in sg place! *smiles* haha but it turned out to be quite disappointing lah =( with the exception of the Root Beer Float! ^^ no photos though coz we were all rushing for time. haha. and we went to the bus there 10min late and they almost went back to sg without us! =X hahahaa!

yayy. after a whooping TWO HOURS i finally finish blogging abt the trip! aha.

nwae, special thanks to jul and family for being such nice hosts, and particularly to WLUEK, for chauffeuring us around everywhere! =) felt so pampered and taitai-ish throughout the whole trip! and when we returned to sg, qiqi and i were like "hai. no more taitai life. must go take train liao." hahaa..
