okayy finally koped the photos from julyn for the mlk trip.. so shall blog abt it.. yay! =)

1st day - 251107 Sunday

and we reached jul's hse in the evening, abt 5+ or 6+? ooh and ahh-ed at her beautiful hse (her bedroom has PINK walls OMG! got my bimbo-ness totally oozing heh.), dumped our stuff, then went out for dinner - satay celup! *grins*

as you can see, it's actually like our normal steamboat, but the 'soup base' is substituted with satay sauce instead! so it's not my first time eating it, but i still love it!

yay. after our yummy dinner, we went to this Jonker Street (or was it Jonker Walk?). it's actually a normal street if you go any other day or night, but on fri/sat/sun nights, it becomes a night market! =) yes, it's really nice and there are other shops by the streets too that sell equally cheap stuff! heh. it's really equivalent to a pasar malam selling stuff you find online or in some of the lower end shopping centres in sg! =p

and they have some little stores selling food too.. and we learnt that Ice Kachang is called ABC over there. hahaha and i have no idea why! yayyy. and we shopped until the place was closing liao, and got closing down sale! WHEE! hahaha so siao~ yeap. so we left the place nearing midnight i think. =)

and back at jul's hse, we started the daily tradition of oh-bey-som to decide who bathes first -.-'' ahaha. then tired and exhausted from all that bus ride and shopping, we slept almost immediately after bathing! =)


2nd day - 261107 Monday

we had bfast at this very nice looking prata place that sells many many other variety of malay foods too! =)

ok, after turning into 5 very awake and full and happy girls, we headed to A'Famosa Water World! and not coincidentally, it's my 3rd time there! =X haha but ok la, the other two times was so many years ago that i can't really rmb-ed what i played before haha.

like some island huh! =)

and then we went mad playing with all the rides! haha. i felt so adventurous! xian (who has also been there before..) dragged us to this totally scary and super high looking slide thingy.. and i was the only one who readily agreed to go up with her! aha. =D

hehe. so niceeeee! and after we finished taking all the rides, we went to rent the floats to go play in this pool with periodic tides, and also, this Lazy River, which you basically laze on the float, and you'll somehow find yourself moving around the river! aha. it was hilarious. coz we didn't want to bring too much money out, we underestimated the cost of the entrance fees, and were left with only enough money for 3 small floats. so we tried to share them, and had to get up them one after another, but the floats kept overturning (esp. when xian was on it!).. ahahhas! damn funnyyy. then the lazy river felt seriously lazy and helpless that xian and i started galloping on our float! -.-'' wahaha. then everyone got bored and we all started bullying hh! wahahha~ okayyy, and these are some of the crazy photos we took with the floats...

our uber nice Welfare Director, huihui!.. who always kena bullied! hahaaa.. we got her covered in donuts! =D

last but not least, the pretty uhhh..Member, qiqi! wahahah~ she looks so strong carrying the donut! ^^

haha and after the tiring day of play, we slept in the car on our way back, while our poor darling wluekwluek drove us back sleepily too. haha.

and after reaching jul's home and bathing, we had very very nice Nasi Lemak prepared by her kakak! *grins* it was really uber good!

after the nice dinner, we headed to this shopping centre to shop and catch a movie! the shopping was great, but Beowulf sucked like nobody's business! *grimaces* we started wishing to get out of the cinema once the show started. ahaa.

then wluekwluek bot us to this place she was talking abt in the morning that also sell prata. but their prata had funny names like Prata Singapura, Prata India, Prata Jepun, Prata Chicago, etc.. and surprisingly, the most expensive one was Prata India, and the cheapest, Prata Chicago. -_-''' wahaha! but we were too full liao, so we just drank teh tarik, which wasn't that good la. bwah!

and after returning to The House and bathing, we played cards until like 2am, when xianxian got ultra high and we decided that we should all go to bed.. hahaha!


3rd day - 271107 Tuesday

we went back to Jonker Street for bfast! this time, we had mlk's famous chicken rice ball! yayy! first time trying it, and it was quite good! *grins*

look at the towering number of balls! (ehh sounds a lil' wrong -.-)

then after that, we headed for our facial!! *ta-dah!* hahaa.. the place was really quite good..they did an individual thorough analysis of all our faces which was quite scary, coz there was this picture of a face, and they looked at your face, started drawing on the picture many dots and crosses and blah. hahaha! you get damn demoralised after that! lol. but the facial was good lah - my first facial! heh. at first i was feeling quite pampered and all that.. then after very very very long, i started to fidget alot and got very bored. and after an even longer while, i started to get bedsores! haha. you know how i can't stay still for long... SO. haha.. go figure. nwae, it was still quite good overall. but takeaway from it is.. i think i'm not meant to be a taitai! =( well, at least not the type who goes for facial everyday. haha! maybe i should learn from lj, and aspire to be a housewife instead. *sigh*

ok! after our facial, we went to this nice lil' restaurant or cafe to eat cakes! it's called mille crepe, which got me excited, coz mille really meant thousand in French. haha. and this was what our cakes looked like...

and i'm telling you, it tasted DAMN GOOD. omg. i totally melted on the spot! *drools*

shopping again!! haha. so it was the last day and we had spent so much money and so little left, and we still wanted to go for dinner at the portugese village and take the ferris wheel ride, we scrimped and saved so much and didn't buy a lot of stuff we wanted to buy! =(

then we headed over for seafood at the Portugese Village for dinner! and if you know me, you'll know i'm not really a seafood person apart from fish.. but they were merciful and ordered stuff i ate! heh heh. =)

fried sotong! we really wanted to order sweet and sour chicken, but the person told us only got chicken wings left, and we figured we didn't want to try sweet and sour chicken wings.. =X so we went for sotong, which i supposedly didn't eat.. (hey! i don't eat my fellow blurblurs!) but since they chose fried sotong, the batter kinda covered up the taste and it actually tasted awesome! *smiles* moral of the story: fry me if i'm not being very nice. HAI. =[

portugese baked fish! it actually tastes a lil' like stingray.. but then the sauce is different and the fish is different. -_-''' what am i talking about.. haha. but then, it's really nice too! =))

butter garlic scallops! ding ding ding! MY PERSONAL FAV of the day! yummmei! if you love scallops and you love butter garlic, you'll simply love THIS! duh. hahaha. but it's really good and the scallops are seriously damn FRESH. *continues drooling*

mixed vegetable. as you can see, this ain't really seafood.. we just ordered it coz we thought we had too much unhealthy food for the past few days alrdy and were lacking fibre! *smiles*

omelette the person forgot abt it so it came last, and tasted awful btw. and to make it worse, we only had one mouth of rice each to go with it! hahaa.

nwae, everything amounted to a whooping 80RM, which is like equivalent to S$8 per pax! omg. tts the cheapest seafood i've ever eaten!! just a single stingray in sg would have cost more than that! =O so we decided that we must pai zhao liu nian by the sea~ hahaa

nwae, next time if you ever wanna go, pls convince them you're local, so you won't get overcharged by hiked up prices! =)

the night was still young! so we went for our long awaited Ferris Wheel ride! it's actually a new thing in mlk, that even jul haven't heard of. and it was actually MY father who suggested we go, and jul had to check it out first. haha. nwae, to our dismay after scrimping and saving during our whole afternoon of shopping, we arrived at the Ferris Wheel, only to realise that it costs only 5RM per pax. -_-''' i think it was the anchoring and adjustment heuristics at fault..we estimated that it'll be about sg price.. hai. qiqi almost went crazy and wanted to go back to shop. hahaha. but it was too late alrdy la. lol.

yayy. that ended our long day out. and we returned to jul's house to more card games and more of xianxian turning mad after 2am.. hahaha! =)


4th day - 281107 Wednesday

last day alrdy! we were supposed to take the 1.30pm bus.. we said bye to our uber uber lovely host family in the morning.. =) then jul's uber nice daddy wanted to treat us to dim sum.. =)) but then we went to TWO dim sum shops and both were so suay-ly closed for the day! =[ heh. but we had some taiwan pai gu mian instead, and it was very nice too! =))) hehe. no photos though, i can't rmb why..

then we went for more last min shopping so that can finish spending all the Ringgit. -_-''' hahaha. and here's one of the photos we took at the shopping centre with the nice candy hansel-and-gretel-looking house!

then we insisted on having our last meal in mlk, which we unanimously chose A&W, coz apparently, all of us went mad seeing the long lost in sg place! *smiles* haha but it turned out to be quite disappointing lah =( with the exception of the Root Beer Float! ^^ no photos though coz we were all rushing for time. haha. and we went to the bus there 10min late and they almost went back to sg without us! =X hahahaa!

yayy. after a whooping TWO HOURS i finally finish blogging abt the trip! aha.

nwae, special thanks to jul and family for being such nice hosts, and particularly to WLUEK, for chauffeuring us around everywhere! =) felt so pampered and taitai-ish throughout the whole trip! and when we returned to sg, qiqi and i were like "hai. no more taitai life. must go take train liao." hahaa..
