Data Camp -- The Prelude to Data Party

Yes, we've been very busy managing our GP data. Thanks to the upcoming Data Party that V decided to throw on 5th December (which is the Saturday right after our last paper ends on Friday).

Apparently, V's schema of parties is very different from ours. When xian asked her whether the party will be at night, she was shocked. And when jan and i asked her what time would it be, she said probably 9am to 5pm. ................ Does that sounds like party time to anybody here? *ahems* Later she decided perhaps 9am to 1pm would be enough. Ok, not like it sounds more exciting, but I guess it beats spending the first Saturday after exams in school for the entire day. To make myself feel better, I shall pretend I found a part-time Saturday volunteer thingy right after my paper.

On the "brighter" side, perhaps her only more "normal" schema of party was reflected in her statement "Don't worry. There will be food provided."

Can't say we're too excited about that though.

...

ANYWAYS,

Jan (my GP group mate) and I decided to run our data in one shot, so that we can settle down properly to study for our exams after that. We started on Monday morning (keying in some misc. data and compiling stuff here and there) and still couldn't get started on hypotheses by 10pm. So we decided to hold a 2-day 1-night Data Camp on Tuesday to prep ourselves for the horrifying Data Party ahead.

You can think of it as a leadership training camp before an FOC, or if you're slightly more optimistic, it's like going for FOC before D&D party.

The point was, we chiong-ed everything at Jan's house from ard 10am to 2am, became very seh, and went to bed, but couldn't sleep. So it turned into a girly kind of slumber party, when we started chatting and sharing secrets. Hahaha. We finally decided to try harder to sleep at 3am. But we snoozed our 7am alarm for about 10 times before finally waking up at 8am. Haha.

Anyways, we finished most of it (with some question marks which all the profs happened to be on leave to solve for us -.-) finally, and break camp before noon. Then we started trying very hard to take self-timer photos with our Ting & En (2009) products, but it was a disaster; apparently we both weren't very good camera gurus.

Hahah. Ah wells. At least we can put some stuff aside now until 4th December. And Data Camp wasn't too bad although it fried our brains! :)

Jiayou for exams, people!! 16 days to freedom!!! =D

Meanwhile, I am gonna drown myself in caffeine to make up for the precious time lost to GP...
