Intern!

My internship finally started yesterday. If you still don't know, it's at a developmental/paediatric clinic lah.
Common question: "What are you supposed to do there??"
Typical reply: "I don't know lah. Don't ask me"

Haha. Actually i'm just lazy to explain. Plus I wasn't exactly given a clear idea as well. Anyway, I don't really want to elaborate either coz of confidentiality issues, coz I tend to get excited and don't draw the line properly across what to or not to reveal. Hah. You know me lah. Can get quite excited when I start talking.

Anyways, it's been quite okay so far other than being very hectic. I haven't been knocking off on time, and I can't wait for J&B to faster come in have lunch together with me! Hahaha. But so far I still have nothing against what I've been doing for the past 2 days other than having to wear a mask =X Bah! And be warned that i've been doing nothing glamorous, but am contented with it coz I kind of believe all these menial stuff needs to be done first to understand the full operations of the clinic. Besides, I think i've learnt alot more in the past 2 days than the past 2 months! =X Hah. I think I know the EXACT reason why. But I shall save it for gossip, not here.

It's a really interesting experience! I think my biggest takeaway today would be how parents make a hell LOT of difference. Yes.
Moral of the story: Don't have a kid if you're not ready.

And you know what the different therapists are like after awhile. Hmmmm!

Ha. I'm typing very carefully and missing out a lot of details. Oh well! I'm glad I went on this eye-opening intern! =)

Stepping into a new nothing! Nothing but shopping.

Ahhhhhh. I'm officially starting my internship tmr! Yet i'm not exactly nervous and excited as the average intern probably coz we've been into there before le ba. Though what we'll be doing for this official period will probably be different from before lah. And I still feel abit dots about certain things that leave me feeling puzzled about what I ought to be doing tmr.. BAH! It's the thing about being the first to go in, like not knowing what to expect. Sigh.

Anyway, I've burned an uber hole in the pocket before I even started work lah. She cheerily replied me "pants and collared blouse. jeans on fri/sat only. no need to buy clothes!". Never did she know the harmless sms she shoot out harmed my purse strings in a huge way ok. Sigh. I can only console myself that it's a worthy investment for future work in a year's time! oh Yay! =]

Haha. Anyways, my dearie mabbie and I broke our own record again today - we spent more than 5 hours shopping in Tampines! =O Tampines always seem like a can't-finish-shopping-there place whenever I shop with her leh. Hahaha. When we're in a hurry, we can't finish looking through the shops. When we're not in a hurry, we can walk and re-browse the shops more than once o_O hahaha. Something is seriously very wrong with us man.

And I realised from my blog-surfing that the whole world is crazy about Uniqlo! O_O I have no idea why!! I think it's too crowded and messy!! I have walked past it 3 or 4 times and each time it looks so scarily crowded like it's having some crazy sale that I just hate staying inside the shop! =X Hahaha. Mabbie says the crowd will clear in awhile, but it's always crowded when I pass by! Hahaha. Okay, i'll give it a chance and visit it again when the crazy crowd at t1 starts dying down. Hah! =P

Yea just being random.

Sheeeeeeeesh! I need to start studying for my French soon too! Ahaaa. And there are things waiting to be confirmed and done. And things to fret over. And friends to meet up with of coz! =) =)

Everything feels scarily normal; like nothing ever happened. Hmmm. Perhaps it's a good way to finish up the last lap, as normal as it can be. Well, at least everything seemed good, and well, happy.

Yay! Deardear's birthday was great! (i think) hahaa. But we decided that we're out of the take-photo-for-everything phase. hahahaa. so yeap, no photos this year. Got anything just play, anything just eat. Wheeee! =)

We celebrated it earlier this year on 30th April, starting with Cream of Mushroom (yes, again, don't yawn, my dear like can liao hah!) at my house, movie (Taken. SUPER SUPER 5 STAR GOOD!!!!!!) at Vivo, and FINALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLY Kuishinbo at Suntec. Hahaha yes, we finally went to Kuishinbo after talking about Lady's Night for one whole sem. And when we finally went, it wasn't even Lady's Night -_-''' hahahah! Yay. We had super good seats! So kept going over to snatch dessert when the bell rang. Lol! Had uber lots of fun with lovely! =D

Couldn't celebrate the 2nd part of it with lovely this year. Was quite sad about it.. but oh well, i'm glad you loved the surprise! =) =) =D

My lovely is 26 years old! And we are 5 years apart now! =O Hahaha until September =p Lalalala~ I have a lovely lovely who gets lovelier by the day! Because LOVELY AGE WITH GRACE. muahahahahaa~ =D

Anyway, i've been too busy to pronounce the end of my love-hate-hate relationship with stats! =D Felt so relieved that there were people like jul and my lovely to end it on a slightly better note with me! Especially lovely! So stunned sia! For the first time, he can actually teach me how to do my work! =O Hahahaa. Coz he was the one who got tortured earlier on by doing one whole module on what I was supposed to do for half an assignment. *stunned* I finally understand the torment he went through spending hours in the lab until 4am to do his project. I felt equally tormented lah! *urgh* And it's erm kind of weird to know that his project basically requires him to do/enhance a software/program to let people like us do our statistical analyses. Haahhaa. Like he got tormented learning how to torment us. =X

Ahhh well. Down with clusters and dendrograms! They're all OVER AND OUTTTTTTTTTT!!! ^^

Walk, watch and EAT EAT EAT!

We spent more than half of our date eating today. Hahaha.

Went to eat char kuay teow and dim sum at Wisma Food Republic. Then had desert at some ice shop at PS. Then we had popcorn and nachos during movie. After that went back to Tampines 1 to walk. Then after walking, went to Swensens for dinner.

Hahhahaa! Deardear says we are the type of couple who eat more than do anything else! Lol. Yea I think so too. I'm happy just eating and eating although I grumble about my fats while I eat lah. =X =X

Hahaha.

Anyway, we watched Knowing by Nicholas Cage. It was goooooood. Too freaky though. I got freaked out by the burning people who kept screaming and running about! O_O And when the car crashed I screamed so loudly and covered my eyes that I thought for awhile I was watching a horror movie. Hahaa. And the problem is nobody else screamed. Ahhh. I found something more horrifying than horror movies...disaster movies! O_O I really cannot become disaster worker!! I'll keep crying and crying and covering my eyes lah! BAAH. I think I got ASD again from watching the movie! O_O

Ahh well. I need to complete my stats assignment soooooooooon so I can go out and play more more more!!! =X Bah. Tired! Shall sleep earlier and do tmr. Tee hee. Me and my excuses~

Over & weird

Exams are FINALLY over!!! =)

And strangely, I feel a bit lost as usual. Hah!

Spanish was okay, just rather difficult. Hahaha. Contradicting huh. They have totally random questions like "In which month was Chinese New Year this year?" diao! Like we know how to write the month also cannot rmb is which month la! And i think it's even worse for the non-chinese la. so dots!! And then there's like What's the profession of Fernando Botero and what's his nationality. Like huh who!??? And so I raised my hand and asked the teacher and she told me all the 4 names there can be found in the textbook that's why you're tested. Ya like right, thanks ar. It's the type of activity that ask you to search the internet yourself for missing information -_-'''

Hahaha. But oh well. It was fine though much much harder than I expected and than the past year papers. But who cares, IT'S OVER!!!!! =D

After 6 days of delaying of gratification!! =)

And I went to drop all my RA stuff at Q's office today! My life as an RA is unofficially over! =) Yay! Though i've learnt alot and had my fair share of fun and little money, it's time to move on to the more mind-boggling, time-consuming stuff. She did ask if I wanted to be Lab Manager la, but uhhh too busy lah. I seriously think non of the oldies RAs like us would have the time anymore though =X Ah wellll. Q was a very nice mentor though! *cheersss!* =)

Ok, I shall try to do some of my R assignment tomorrow before going out to play~ =X hahaha.

And we're FINALLY gonna catch a movie!! =D Haven't decided what to watch though =X Just plain wanna catch a movie, since we realised the last movie we caught was Benjamin Button on V day O_O madddd!! that was so super movie-deprieved!! 2.5months leh! Ok, shows we haven't been dating much =(

And I don't think I can line up too many activities this coming hols anyway. Too many things to do, and too many things cropping up.

Perhaps people do change after all.

Courage is perhaps something that I lack and something you've attained =) Way to go, my dear friend! Things may look gloomy at the moment, but you've taken the huge step and that will certainly change your life for the better in the long run. Don't despair coz you've done the right thing for yourself! =) It'll reflect anytime later, which may or may not be any time soon. We'll just have to await patiently for the right thing to happen with the right person at the right time! The wait may be excruciating, but it'll come and you'll be better off than you were with somebody not worth your love. I salute your bravery! =)

1) Avoidance/Numbing phenomena - I don't want to take French Level 4 anymore!!
2) Re-experiencing phenomena - I couldn't sleep at night and kept dreaming about French sentences! I even dreamt about French when I dozed off in the train! I even dreamt about Gumert (i don't know why of all people) talking to me in French after I returned from my Trauma paper and took a nap! OMG. It's eating my soul! FRENCH IS CANCER OF MY SOUL!!!! >=(
3) Hyperarousal - Ok I just realised there's no signs of hyperarousal at all. hahahaha! Yay. I'm free from the cancer of the soul!! -_-''''''''

And we saw Fred after Trauma paper! Hahaha. Crapped abit with him and tsk tsk-ed him for setting such a literally handbreaking paper. Lol. Quite sad that there's no more of his courses to take though. Although it certainly means we don't have to go blind anymore =D Grandpapa Fred rocks!!

I'm suffering from a Technological Disaster by the way. Printer down. Hp down. Lappie went on strike and showed me the blue screen yesterday! !@$%^!^$%^* Seriously gonna reformat it after exams. school was finally over last week. all ended on a rather nice note other than Re & Ri which was uneventful as usual. hah.

French teacher came back after weeks of disappearing back to Belgium to settle her family matters. bombed an impromptu oral on us, which everybody stuttered equally through so it was alright. was so glad to have her back, even if it was just the last week of lessons already. didn't like the other teachers' teaching. i think Ma & Sa are like the best french teachers ever! =)

Spanish class ended on the nicest note. we had oral and we did fantastic, though i was secretly relieved at it being the last lesson coz i was extremely bimbotic during oral. i had extremely mixed and frustrating feelings at one of my oral group mates though. fortunately the other one was fantastic, or else i would have died. haha. some girls whipped out a camera at the end of the lesson and we started taking class photos! =D yay so happy~ Ar was cute. we were halfway through photos taking when she declared "actually i brought my camera too!" then excitedly went to fish it out. lol! (: spanish was one of my happiest lessons at ntu! =) think i'll continue level 2 next sem. heh.

Fr gave me the grandfatherly feeling during trauma! hahaha. think it's just me. anyway, trauma has been a nice and useful mod although i haven't been catching up on it regularly. studying it these few days provoked quite a mix of emotions. it's indeed easy to study and read all that methods and techniques on how to be a good crisis intervention worker. but really putting it into appropriate use isn't as easy as it seems. and for that, i admire Fr a lot! =) certain words stuck in my mind as i read, particularly this:

"when parents die, the children lose their past.
but when children die, the parents have lost their future."

sigh. how unfortunately true!

anyway, it's as enjoyable reading trauma as reading up for abnormal psych. in other words, the textbook is one of those books deardear would have loved to read it as a storybook! ahaha. but the danger is that it's so storybook that it only gets encoded as a fuzzy system! O_O hah. ok need to try to remember more. sigh.

mum's been away for the past two days. and oddly, i found an inner peace being the substitute housewife. hah! and sometimes at night, while i wait for the water to boil, i just move all my stuff to the kitchen table to study and stay there until 2am. hahahaa. it's kind of weird but sometimes i do imagine doing that next time after getting married =X

ah well. just being weird. haha.

or perhaps it's the first time since school started that i feel so peaceful. no more weekly assignments and the sort to worry about. just reading the textbooks and returning to MY more 'normal' sleeping hours (coz my normal is sleeping at 3-4am, but i've been sleeping at 11+pm coz of the immense fatigue from travelling to and fro school hah.). exams can be rather nice at times, not considering the fact that i'm actually not having enough time for revisions =X

ah well. off i go! jiayou!! =)

Paid to do it, but fails to make his friend’s wife pregnant after 72 Attempts

In Stuttgart, Germany, a court judge must decide on a case of honorable intentions in a situation where a man hired his neighbor to get his wife pregnant.

It seems that Demetrius Soupolos, 29, and his former beauty queen wife, Traute, wanted a child badly, but Demetrius was told by a doctor that he was sterile.

So, Soupolos, after calming his wife’s protests, hired his neighbor, Frank Maus, 34, to impregnate her. Since Maus was already married and the father of two children, plus looked very much like Soupolos to boot, the plan seemed good.

Soupolos paid Maus $2,500 for the job and for three evenings a week for the next six months, Maus tried desperately, a total of 72 different times, to impregnate Traute.

When his own wife objected, he explained, "I don’t like this any more than you. I’m simply doing it for the money. Try and understand."

When Traute failed to get pregnant after six months, however, Soupolos was not understanding and insisted that Maus have a medical examination, which he did.

The doctor’s announcement that Maus was also sterile shocked everyone except his wife, who was forced to confess that Maus was not the real father of their two children.

and like so-and-so, i want to complain about the uber selfish NBS! they remove all the HSS computer terminals in the NBS FAL, so they have over duno 100 or 200 terminals (not forgetting their many IT Labs!) all to themselves, then THEY COME TO HSS FAL TO USE OUR COMPUTERS WHEN WE ONLY HAVE LIKE FREAKING 30 TERMINALS!!! wth la! can HSS please learn to be more selfish! please do something about our student welfare. damn pathetic can! the poorest get poorer. how apt!

amidst my extreme busy schedule and workload, it was a well weekend spent, with the WSC swim meet gone well on Saturday, and today feeling more relieved after i visited somebody whom i've been worried about for weeks.

i shall try to reduce all the complains and grumbles about my workload, since most of them are self-administered. using the whatever little time i have, i hope i cope well and don't fall sick again *CHOY* during exams.

ahhhh. if you're trouble, please avoid me. i've enough of them for now O_O

i thought it was okay getting trapped in a tiny stock room for 2 hours climbing high and low, shifting heavy boxes here and there.

maybe it was the 20min walk into the uber ulu place. it's funny how you take a 15min bus ride to the nearest bus stop to your destination, but have to walk 20min in after that.

then there was the 50min standing in my wedges on the train ride home.

okay, i think that about amounted to the sore feet i'm having now.

Oh, for those who are curious, my internship's at this developmental/paediatric clinic at Turf City Mall O_O it's super far away from my house la! Still, i'm not grumbling, coz i'm happy enough to get something so close to what i'm interested in! =) And of coz, there's bearbear and julyn to work together with me! WHEEEEE!! =D And erms, we could shop in Giant during lunch? *winces* since there's no civilisation nearby. Hah.

Ytd, i overheard a weird conversation going on in the lift between 3 teenagers! They all looked about Sec 4 to JC age. And this is what amazed me:

Boy: Ya la. Only a few hundred bucks. Work full time better la.

Boy: At least got over a thousand per month lor.

Alrights. Back to work. Yesterday was a happy day! =)

Just a random rant about Bobo's post about love and somebody's reply about it.

Post was about greek myth describing humans as constantly on the search for their other half, and how Bobo thinks we may not necessarily meet our other half in our lifetime. Reply was "I suppose that since there are so many people out there, that there are potentially many good fits for one person." Bobo says "i kinda think it is like a jigsaw puzzle. there is only one right piece."

So, being the fellow-Bobo, i have to agree with Bobo! Aha.

Quantity doesn't mean Quality. Many people doesn't mean a higher chance of finding many others who'll fit into your life nicely! If that is the case, perhaps that is the reason why the rapid rate of decreasing marriages equates to the soaring rate of divorces. So people apparently realise they don't want to get married, coz they can't be sure that is their perfect fit, and they want to get a taste of every other nice fit. Then there's the people who realise maybe it's the wrong fit, and there could be a better fit out there.

Jigsaw puzzle analogy is perhaps the most apt way of describing love. There can be 10 pieces of puzzle, or there may be 10000 pieces of the puzzle; but the more pieces there are, the harder it is to complete your jigsaw. Coz you have to search among the many pieces. Perhaps in your pursuit, you try to force the wrong 2 pieces of jigsaw together, but they just don't fit perfectly, and the gap between them stubbornly refuses to close. It's then you realise it's wrong, and you give up, and continue your search for the right fit. Some may be lucky, fitting the right pieces together after one or two tries; some bingo on their first attempt; some may never get it right until they finally fit the 1st and 10000th piece together; some simply find it too tedious after awhile and give up halfway through.

Perhaps that is why they say Love is patient!

Hmmmm.

I don't have any secret recipe or shortcut to fit the pieces together in the shortest time possible. But if you've found your piece, glue it properly, and don't let it come off! You really wouldn't want to find it missing, call the puzzle shop for a replacement, and find it out of stock already! If you're still trying hard to put the pieces together, look before you fit and don't rush. You don't want to spoil your own piece of puzzle before you even find the fit! Maybe you will realise, the harder you srcutinize, the more you can't find your fit. That's coz your eyes have been on the lookout for too long, and censored too many pieces. Take a break, wait for others to toss out the wrong pieces, and the right one may just land before you! =)

Yes, enough crap. I'll go glue my own piece, then go on to do my mountain pile of work! =)

And i don't know why people assume i'm going to Malaysia for the new year! Hahaha. Maybe i've been there too many CNYs, so people naturally assume i go every year. Ah well. I'm staying put in Sg this year, coz of the too-short hols. It's no doubt more 'leng qing' here, but i'm still with my family and that's totally fine with me. Plus i get to do anything i want to do! (mostly, ha.)

STEAMBOATTTTTTTTTTTTT!!! Yes, that's the main highlight! Yea, somehow they don't like to eat steamboat at my grandma's house in malaysia coz nobody fancies preparing steamboat for at least like 20+, 30+ people. So we always have normal food, just that more 'da yu da rou'. Yes, so i get very excited whenever i get to eat steamboat in Sg. =D Hahahaa! Machiam never eat steamboat before like that.

Ahhhhhhhhh. It's been some years since my last CNY in Sg. Wonder what it'll be like this year! =)

Okay, i haven't learn any decent spanish grammar, so pardon me if i'm wrong. Haha!

Languages are a great deal of fun! Spanish class is very very nice! =) Haha. And I secretly think (i don't want the whole world to know! Haha!) that the lessons are more well structured than French! But then, again, can't really compare coz they are different languages, and might require different styles of teaching! =)

I still love French all the same! Especially now we're FINALLY learning more useful stuff. *phew!* I can finally shop in France after May! Hahahaa. Dots. As if i'm rich. *shrugs* =P M is very nice this sem! I don't know why she is so starkingly different from the last time I took her class. Hahah. And it's very very great that i'm coincidentally having lessons together with Charlene! =) At least we can comfortably whine to each other when others start to sound cheem =X hahaha! Yay~ Level 3 is definitely more fun than 2! Regardless of company-wise or content-wise =)

Spanish is cool too! Although we're only through with What's your name and Alphabets. Hahaha. My spanish teacher praised me! Lol. She said I very good at rolling my tongue to the RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR sound! Wahahaha. Damn paiseh la! She keep asking me "How do you do that!? What languages do you speak? No, chinese and english doesn't have that sound!" yada yada. And she keep asking me to share with the class how i roll my tongue! -_-''' DOTS. How am i supposed to share that!? And i can't possibly tell the whole class i am pro at that coz i have nothing better to do when i was small and started practicing how to roll my tongue. . . . . =X

Core mods are still pretty much the same as before, i guess. I've taken all 3 profs' modules before, so know what to expect and stuff. Rin's mod is expectedly more cheem than before! *faints* And i'm still perpetually sleepy during his lessons =X Reb's lesson is very useful as usual~ Haha. As in she teaches in a way that makes you think it's useful. Lol. F is entertaining as usual, though whether it's useful or not, i'm still quite doubtful~ Haha =X I think i should read more of the textbooks! Bleah! =X

Counted down with deardear and co. last night at bin's house. Had the annual Aiyah! meeting. Hahaha. It was my first time attending! Lol. Quite funny... And bin has 2 dogs! Cuddles and Reila(? duno how to spell but it's pronounced like that lah haha). Cuddles is super obedient! Hahaha. And we had fun doing tricks with the 2 dogs! Hehe. This is my belated 1st anniversary pressie from deardear!! =D Hehe. It's a cross stitch! WHeeeee! So pretty right! =D And it came late because he is my deardear so he got the same problem as me when it comes to cross stitch! =X Hahaha. We think we can complete it but it's a very huge feat to us actually. So he couldn't finish it on time. This is very very good compared to the TWO UNCOMPLETED cross stitches i have somewhere at home that is meant to be for my mum and mabbie, but was never completed. Hahahahaa!

But still, i'm very happy and touched! =D

and i get bored of little nyonya and their stupid storylines. it's super unrealistic. nothing near such is gonna happen in real life, seriously. and she's not just surviving coz of her wit; most of it is just coupled with sheer luck that the scriptwriter is nice enough. oh well. i'm still joining the rest of the boring ppl watching anyway since i have nothing better to do, and i like to watch about the culture! hahaha. i like to watch this type of culture-type of shows leh. their costumes and food all that always look so nice! =X

haha. different ppl get contented with different things. when you start low, you have space for improvement and happiness. when you are at the highest already, you have a greater probability to get upset over what the average will be happy about.

my flu just got worse after i went to the polyclinic. make me so pissed wait 2 hours and tell me rubbish and give me medicine that i already self-prescribed myself with.

so i went to the family doctor today morning and spent freaking 44 bucks, getting heap loads of strong medicine in return! o_O Oh well, but it was worth the spend i suppose. i'm already much better now! =)

i sincerely hope and pray i'll be well enough to go out with darlings yuyu and ernie on monday! =( i've been forced to stay at home today! And after spending 2 days rotting at home, i'm getting really restless!

And then there was many other food like Din Tai Fung xiaolongbao, Tori Q, KFC, Salad, Delifrance Logcake, some handmade ham/rockmelon appetizer, ice cream, etc etc.. and don't know what else le. Super a lot of food lah! Eat and play and watch tv and talk until 3am le still haven't finish eating!! Hahahahaaa... *very full look* =D

Oh oh! And we played Taboo! HAHAH. Reminds me of Psych. HP101 and PFO. =P Yay. And deardear and i have been rated the most pro couple!! Wahahaa! We use telepathy to guess the word! Lol. =D And poor zai buy the new set of Taboo with 200 over words and we about finished playing them in one night!! o_O Lol. Quite funny the words.. the box said "contains many true blue singaporean words" and there were really words like Chiam See Tong, Kopi-O, wet market, chicken rice, parking warden, ERP, etc etc... Oh oh. And zai has a very nice dog Kobe! He was super poor thing, whole night keep tagging along those of us holding food, and his vision literally trails after the food! But he cannot eat leh. Righhhhhhhht. Chalet is overrrrrrrrrrrr!! =) It was boring but fun. Haha. Coz we realised Downtown East is a very boring place to hang out at. When I reached home my gorgor asked me "there so boring you can stay 2 nights ar?" Hahahaa. Well, it was fun coz there was deardear with me!! =D Hahaha. Relieves 90% of the boredom! Lalala~

Alright. I was being plain biased. Hahaha.

Anyway, we didn't do much. Used up the free tix to Escape and Wild Wild Wet, watched Ip Mun (very nice!), went to the beach, watched DVD, blahblahblah. Just enjoyed being with each other and seeing each other 24hours a day for erm, 3 days? Heheh.

But then poor deardear fall sick, and was uber xin ku. Became a little feverish on the second night, so we just stayed in and watched tv take medicine. =X Then it became a full blown fever with throat infection by the time he reached home on friday and we took him to the doc on saturday. *pat pat* deardear. So poor thing! =( Thankfully, he's better now le! Can talk louder than ytd! Hahaha. And me, well, i'm still recovering from my flu too =X Hahaha. I tried to sing but zhao sia~ Ooops! Hehe.

Oh well. Anyway, deardear bought stuff like bangle and some giap-hair thingy back from Genting for me! Heheh. I'm so amazed he could even buy something for me back from there! Hahaha. But his family all say quite alot of things to shop there leh~ =O Okay, maybe it's been too long since i've been there. I ought to go when it isn't raining and no competitions and such. So that I can finally go to the theme park! *sulks at the past 2 failed attempt to play at Genting* Hahah.

Oh, and on Wednesday morning, before our chalet, I gave deardear the photo album i made for him for our 1st year anniversary! ^^

Hahaha I was damn excited when I finally finished the cover page coz it took HOURS! Don't see it looks so simple.. the 'anniversary' must tear and glue the crepe paper one by one de! And the rest...well, it suffices to say that one should never underestimate the tediousness of using double-sided tape! Hahhaaa. Anyway, whether you think it's nice or not, deardear and i both love it!! =D Muahaha. He has to say he loves it what. And I was so excited and can't show deardear yet when I finished it, so I went to MMS it to mabbie! Wahahha. Super dumb! =P Oh, and the rest of the album I didn't take photo le.. Hahah. But it was quite thick eventually, like more than 30 pages I think. Heheh.

Went IMH today for xmas celebration with some of the patients there from the psychogeriatric wards! Was a simple thingy, but not bad lah. Just decorated their wards for them and xmas carolled! =) Wheee! I love xmas carolling! Totally reminds me of the choir times! Hehe. I love singing in a choir! =D

Anyway, i'm digressing.

But I wanted to comment that it was my 2nd visit to IMH today already, and I am liking the environment there more and more! Yes, it's actually very nice and half resort-like half neighborhood estate-type. And it's all supposedly part of the plan to lower the stigma people have about 'Woodbridge Hospital'.

Not everybody who goes there are 'mad'. They are just mentally unwell for the moment and need appropriate care from specialists to speed up their recovery and return to our normative society. Besides, some who are there are not even mentally unwell, but other various illnesses.

It's not easy convincing people to stop looking at mentally unwell patients in a different light. When you suffer from a bout of common flu, people generally stay clear so as not to get the flu bug, but they are generally sympathetic, and will ask you to go see a doctor. But when you are mentally unwell, people not only typically steer clear of you, but the shunning increases when you try to go see a doctor about it.

When you can't convince a deeply rooted belief about mentally ill patients being 'siao' and 'untouchable', you change the environment they live in! And that is what I believe IMH is taking the first step towards - de-institutionalizing the place to make it seem less like a gloomy dreary hospital, but a normal place open to all to stroll in and out of any other day! =) Yay! I love the way they try so hard to help all their patients and take care of every minute detail that will put them at unease. At least that was from what I gather, and I hope I am right! =)

Yay! *happy girl!* =) Haha, and last year this time we were happily recounting what happened in the previous 2 months! Lol.

Ahaaa. The manics met up for super be-early xmas gift exchange last night! We met up at Marina Square Waraku, and the organiser stephie couldn't come last min! =( *nudge nudge stephie* Poor thing! We missed you! Although you made us feel very kek xim after we finish eating coz we walked out and saw the 50% off on Monday Lady's Night poster! Hahaha.

Yeap. I got this Red Wine Exfoliator Massage thingy from Face Shop from Jia Ying! Yay! It's very cute and literally shaped like a wine cup! Hahaha. I know I'm not supposed to drink alcohol! But put on the face should be ok right!! o_O Hahaha! Anyway, Face Shop has this whole cute alcohol series of exfoliators, I saw when went with deardear's family that day. They have Red Wine, White Wine, even got Sake!! =O Hahahaa. Cool ba! Yay~ So nice! My exfoliator about to finish already! Hahaha. Very useful~ Don't need go buy new one! =p Xie xie baobeiiiiii~ =D

Oh, and I gave Bobo a very very nice organiser from Artbox! Hahaha. It's very nice okayyy. I like it a lot myself! Hahaha.

And other gifts that were exchanged among the others included stuff like lots of nail polish, handmade earrings, scarf(shawl?), body shop stuff, handmade-but-not-made-yet keychain(??),... Hahahah. It was a very funny dinner jiu dui le.

And darling Hh gave very prettily wrapped choccies to everybody! Yay! 我果然没有appoint错 Welfare Head! =P Tee hee.

Ooh. And deardear and I went to watch 海角七号 yesterday! =) It was so so ba. Not too bad. But quite a bit of imperfections we feel~ Like certain stuff don't have much link, don't know why they put it that way leh. Hahah. But then, again, deardear and I are known to be very harsh and controversial movie critics, i.e. other people think it's nice we think it doesn't even deserve 1 star. *ahem* Hahaha. So, if you want to know if it deserves so many Golden Horse Nominations/Awards, please watch it for yourselves! =) Oh, but I like 1 or 2 of the songs though! Hehee.

Wooooooo! Today feels like a Sunday night!! I almost wanted to say it's the end of the week le. Hahaha.

Been very very busy this week! Spent a whole day with lulu cooking, watching Lilo & Stitch (THEODORE! =D), and many other tv shows. Hahaa. Then spent another night with many (much, alot,...) of the electrons shopping for bert's present and such. And another evening shopping for Hx's present, then going for bert's bday party! =)

Happy be-early 21st birthday!! =D Hahaha. Party had nice food nice cakeS and very nice door gift from Canele! =O Ahahaa. Very high-end birthday bash for a chalet place. And everybody crowded into the house at 9pm to watch Little Nyonya -_-''' Lol! Anyway, all was nice except the 50min walk from Parkway! @_@ Lol. Bert, aren't you touched we walked for a whole 50 minutes just to sing you a birthday song! Next gathering you foot the bill! =D Lol.

Yeap went for uncle's ROM ytd too, and wedding lunch today. I managed to navigate myself from City Hall MRT to ROM with a sheet of map printed from streetdirectory.com! Lol. So proud of myself! -_-''' Hahaha that was besides the point. The solemnizor(how to spell?) was not solemn at all! Lol. He kept making us laugh lah! =X The lunch was not bad today. Met alot of ex-tutors! Hahaha. Coz a lot of my ex-tutors are my uncle's church friends, and like over 100 people from their(my uncle&wife) church came today. And I was working at the reception, and guess who I spotted in the guest list?!

Wahahaha!!! *stunned* Then he walked out of the lift, and I waved happily at him, and he was so stunned. Lol. Yeap, for those who don't know, that's my JC civics tutor/GP teacher la. Yeap, and managed to catch up with him for awhile, and he's teaching at NUS High School now liao. Haha. Was nice catching up though. =)

Anyway, about the lunch. It was the longest wedding lunch I ever had! As in not the duration, but the amount of food. It was 12-course la! OMG. By like 8th course, we were like all full already. Hahahaa. And then there were my 3 nephews who were busy running around, so our whole table of cousins had to take shifts running around with them =X Lol. And although I came in from the reception (I was there alone for bridegroom's side), and violently protested that I just knocked off, they showed no mercy! Hahaha. So funny. Every wedding, our family will have babies running around and dominating the restaurant stage! =O

Yay. Was uber shagged after coming home. Watched tv and slept and watch tv and read blahblahblah. I have either a busy or boring life. Hahaha.

I was about to say i've been very very busy. Then I realized all i've been doing for the past 2 days are stay home, read my dearly-missed storybooks, drown under naggings and military/empress orders to clear drawers/cupboards/shelves/etc...

Hahaha.

Anyway, i've got my hair rebonded (again~)! And trimmed. And needless to say, I still look boring plain old jane. Ahah. Don't bombard me with why I don't bother to change my hairstyle. Long hair is boring, but short hair is stupid for me, coz it'll turn into a mop into no time, and I don't want to rebond my hair a thousand times a year; it's spoilt enough already! =( So just let me be boring. I don't want to launch into another explanation about why I can't cut bangs... hahah.

Oh well. Subject registration was damn weird. Half of us actually belonged to Year 4s, but we had no idea, and nearly missed our registration time~ Many many thousand thanks to xianxian and bearbear! =)

Oh oh! This week's gonna be packed. Hahaha. I don't mean wipe-more-shelves packed! I meant spending quality time with my deardear!, my electrons!, and my family!(extended). Ahahaa! See, deardear got the day off again tmr! =D and thurs is day out with electrons, added on from last sat's ktv-outing-cum-hx-bday-celebration! hahaa friday is busyyyyy! My uncle's ROM in the afternoon! He's finally getting married, which I just found out the long story behind it today~ Hahahaa. Yay! Then at night, there's the mafan bert's bday party! Why aren't we having any R21 outing before he turns 21?! *upset* Lol -_-''' And then sat is of coz my uncle's wedding lunch! =D

Oh well oh well. Might be busy next week too~ Not gonna update as regularly I guess. I'll be busy watching tv and reading books even if i'm not out. Nyahaha.

On a side note, I'm using my brother's old hp now, coz my dumb hp kept restarting and I had to send it for repair. And I have no idea how to transfer my damn photos coz my dumb lappie has no bluetooth! And I don't have the software for this hp to use the cable! -_-''' So lame~ Have to go and bug my brother liao. Muahahahaaa..
