okay french was baffling. the first section was comprehension. and as i started reading it, i was so stunned that i flipped to the cover page again to make sure i WASN'T SITTING FOR LEVEL 2. omggg. i was so seriously freaked out. don't even understand a single word! and so i had to read and reread like more than 5 times before i get a brief idea of what it was talking about. -_-'''

and when i was doing past-year paper in the library with steph, she still showed me the page of the tb with the map, when i asked her got what region is in south de. then i still said sth like, "wah, ask this type of qn, i might as well memorise the whole map"
and i freaking DIDN'T memorise.

ROOT-BEER FLAVOURED LIP BALM. hahahahaaaa! damn funny~ and it smells literally like root beer! okay, we shall start eating lip balm during lectures if we don't get to eat lunch.. julyn will be super happy..a change from sandwiches!! hahahaa~

and yes, the timetable for next sem is out. was trying to plan it after i came home. so much so for the 3-day-week excitement invoked by meimei and bobo. all my electives fall on the other 2 days. hurhurhur. i wanna murder the person who planned the timetable and the exam schedule. first, he/she make me wake up for a 8.30AM maths tut. then he/she make me stay until 6PM on a FRIDAY EVENING for french. so, tell me. which other loser ever stays in school on a FRIDAY EVENING!!! -CRIES&WHINES- wth! and no, it isn't enough. now i've got 4 papers across a period of 4 days, 2 of which are on the same day, and 3 of which are my CORES. -WHINES SOMEMORE- and if i don't get my first choice, i'm gonna sit for 5 papers in 5 days. so tell me, am i back in primary school?! -ULTIMATE WHINES&CRIES-

i think many of us have heard something like this before -

when someone hurts you or make you unhappy, write it on sand, so that it may be easily washed away and forgotten.
when someone helps you or make you happy, carve it on stone, so that you would remember it for life.


i used to think this should indeed be the way things work.
but now i realise it isn't always that airy-fairy.


when the someone who hurt you or made you unhappy is someone whom you love or care for, you tend to forgive the person easily and forget about everything, coz you cherish the person and dowan to believe that the person will hurt you;
when the someone who helped you or made you happy is someone whom you love or care for, you tend to remember the person's good just as easily, coz it alliases with the nice expectations you have of that person.

on the contrary,
when the someone who hurt you or made you unhappy is someone you don't like, you tend to remember the hurt and unhappiness caused, coz it's wad you're expecting them to do;
when the someone who helped you or made you happy is someone you don't like (which is most unlikely to happen), you tend to forget it easily and just let it slip past your memory, perhaps intentionally, coz part of you dowan to believe that it's happening either.


yes, it isn't always easy to control your emotions and feelings at times, i guess.

and it doesn't help that the person i called to talk to made me feel worse, and couldn't slp for the rest of the night. sheeeesh! but yes, after sitting up on my bed for more than an hour and talking to myself like an idiot, i managed to convince myself that at least you tried very hard to stop making me think of my miserable results. yes, thank you for the effort! (: okay, not like you will be reading this anyway.

really enjoyed french alot. it was a class with only fun and laughter. it's not only the teaching that's kiddy style, but everyone treats each other the kiddy way too! hahaha. what i mean by the former is - the teaching is like, the teacher says something and you repeat after her, and latter simply meant - everyone is nice and innocent and there is no rivalry! :)

aha. picking up a new language is certainly fun! (:

Dear 12 years old Huiting,

I am writing from your future 8 years later. And I'm writing bcoz 7 years from now, when you go to uni (yes, you will manage to squeeze into uni), you will meet a crazy fren (no, i'm not gonna tell you who now) who will write to her 12-year-old self and tempt you to do the same thing.

You've probably just cleared your PSLE by now, and am bursting with excitement to embrace the new secondary school life awaiting you. yes, that's the way! coz in due time, you will find out that many of the happiest times and bestest friends of your life will be awaiting for you there. :) yes, you'll have the hell of a great time during this phase of your life. as for the academic side, yes, ups and downs, but you'll eventually pull thru', so do work hard!

Thereafter, you'll enter the loveliest jc and meet another grp of the loveliest ppl who are going to change your life for good. they will alter your course of life in the oddest ways that will be way beyond your imagination - some will push you down into the deepest abbyss and grip your heart with the sharpest pain you can ever imagine, while others will melt your heart, stay and touch your life forever. do strive hard, coz 2 years may be a short time, but you'll soon find out it might be the hardest time of your life.

Perseverance and faith are what you need to pull you through. but remember, don't always trust everyone around you so easily. coz your gullible nature will make you vulnerable and only let you get hurt.

Perhaps at one point of your life, you'll feel so totally miserable and helpless, but don't ever give up! coz there are many more beautiful things in your life worth your attention.

and always remember, place Friendship before Love. your friends will be the people who will be there for you to tide through the most difficult time of your life. Love is but a wine that makes you light-headed and giddy with short-lived happiness. Friends is the tea that makes you sober after that, and let you see things clearly. Most importantly, tea can be equally nice if you learn to appreciate it! plus plus plus - tea is good for health in the long run! hahaha~ actually, so is wine - as long as it is not taken excessively! yeap, so moral of story is - pls be nice to your friends! Perhaps youu're bursting with excitement about looking for a bf now, or still on about that dream of earning your first million before uni starts, getting married before 24, and retiring by the seaside with 4 babies. but no, after the big ordeal is over, you would become as skeptical about life as i am now, especially about boys and love in particular. but do try to open yourself up, and take life as it comes. don't be afraid to love, and don't be too uptight about the fear of getting hurt again. you know deep down, you're still a girl and you still want to be loved, just by the right guy and at the right time. yes, 8 years later, you'll be just as fearful as i am now. but no worries, we got time to work things out. we'll erase the hurt and remove the horrible scar one day! you know what? you will stop crying so often, and come to realise you're actually a very strong and brave girl! You're probably still afraid now - 'fraid of all the squabblings taking place at home. but be cool about it. as time goes by, things will improve. and always keep in mind that you have the greatest brother on the earth that you love alot alot, who will always be there for you when stuff with your parents become slightly dislodged. he'll tide you through the storms together, and take good care of you. yes, he might be super irritating now, but he'll grow up one day and be nice to you! :))

Even up til' my age, you won't be getting everything you want. freedom in particular. you gotta wait for that. it's not gonna come to you so easily. but we are all patient and understanding nice little girls, so we'll just wait okay? :p

Okay okayyy, i've revealed enough! Live through these 8 years for yourself, and you'll really love your life. Keep in mind that everything, whether good or bad, happens for a reason; if it's happy, keep the feeling in your heart forever. if it's sad, take it as a lesson learnt, bury it away and carry on with life.

OMG. i so wanna migrate there!!! hahahaa~ and to them, one day's worth of holiday (equivalent to our public hols in sg, e.g. national day, labour day, etc..) is not even considered a holiday!! hahahaha~ i heart the french way of thinking! this is exactly how the sg govt should make the calendar to be man! ^^ and they only have an average of like 35 working hours per wk! wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! that is so much lesser than sg can!! I WANNA MIGRATE TO FRANCE.

ytd nite was horrible after reaching home. was so tired after being out for so long liao, then still had to complete a presentation so that i can go out in peace today~ so yeap, finished my presentation and felt so ultra drained after that and plopped down to slp at like 1am. then climbed up at 7am again to go for tuition at yewtee. WAH. i almost died when i crawled out of bed!! O_O

hahaa~ yeap. so went for tuition and all that, then had lunch with my cousins, and met huiyu after that!! ^^ yayyyy~ went to causeway point to watch Pirates! mwahahaa~ it's my FIRST time @ Causeway Point lor.. haha can you believe it?! :p yeappp. Pirates was quite alright, although i nodded off somewhere at the front of the movie. HAHAHAA. coz didn't watch part 1 and forgot a little of part 2 le, plus i was super tired from the slp deprivation, so i dozed off in a state of confusion. hahahaaa. it's my first time falling aslp in a movie! sheeeesh! ernie's gonna scold me for being one of the idiots who duno how to appreciate. hahahaa~ but okay la, after things started getting clearer, and johnny depp started getting cuter, i sat up and laughed my way thru' the rest of the movie~ heh.. and orlando finally started looking cute after his heart was dug out. sheesshhh. am i mad or wad! hahahaa~

can you rmb your very first ambition when you were young? well, mine was funny. my ambition was not to become an adult. haha. silly, isn't it? okay, maybe that explains why i'm still childish now at such an age; part of me probably still don't wish to grow up.

i used to hate adults with a strong abhorrence. i used to feel that adults are the most bo liao creatures on earth; they trouble themselves over the stupidest things and fight over the most trivial matters. i could never understand why they do the weirdest things to make themselves miserable.

so, i made a silent vow to myself that in the future, i never want to grow up or become an adult. ha.

but it seems that old age is catching up on me fast. today, it finally dawned on me that my parents are getting old. and i realised how hard they are working to finance bro and my studies. and i realised how unhappy they are working. that was when i felt truly helpless and irritated with myself - wished that i could grow up overnight and start working. wished that i could support them instead and let them take a break after striving so hard for so many years to bring my bro and i up. wished that they didn't have to worry about us anymore and go 'xiang qing fu' liao. but no, it's not gonna happen any time in the near future, and that's what dampening my mood now.

i once had thoughts of furthering my studies after the honours degree. but now, i don't even have the heart (and the results?) to do that. all i want to do now is to graduate and start working asap; i want to be financially independent, and of course, redeem my promised freedom too.

finally, here comes the day when i want to grow up.

okay, relatives arrived after 10pm last nite. nua-ed around awhile, then i spent the nite in the studyroom. hahaha, and i realise yuan lai wo de shu fang shi na me hao shui de~ haha yes, i know i abit dotz, but it's true!! -.-

oh and i shouldn't have pushed away all the dates to entertain them.. coz end up the car cannot sit too many ppl, plus they were going boring places like bird park and chinese garden, so i ended up stranded home alone DOING HOUSEWORK. omg! -.-'' yes, so today auntie huiting spent more than 2 hrs cleaning up the whole hse, then stoning, watching vcd and napping until they finally came home at 4+. after which we nua-ed until 7+ then went airport for POPEYES! wooooooohooooooooooooo! finally sth decent after a whole day of nua-ing around and crap. yayy! ^^

okay, in case you were wondering wad the previous short posts were about, the one on Monday was about how yam and i spotted a shuai ge in sch! wahahhaa~ yes, can you believe how excited yam got? "finally, after one year in NTU, i see a shuai ge!" hahahaa~ yes, very true indeed. -sighs- hahaa!

then the one on tuesday was before i went for the interview.. nah, not the kbox one.. went for another one instead.. hahahaha. sounded quite tough.. bwwwah! pay's super good, but it won't be an everyday thing.. prob go in once or twice a wk lidat only. blahh. anyway, won't get a reply so soon either.. yeap.

so proud of myself! for once, i didn't pick up a fight as usual with mum. instead, i forced myself to cool down over a bath, and talked things out with her calmly after dinner. aha. nah, wasn't completely successful in convincing her, but at least i got half the deal. yeap, compromise is the word. =) at least it didn't land the both of us in tears, like last time. yayyy~ so much so for COMMUNICATION! so happpy! =)) hehee.

oh, and i just came online again, and i got ANOTHER interview offer!! wahahhaa. it's this teaching asst thingy i applied last wk..then they replied me a few days ago to ask me some qns regarding my results and those like "what wld you do if...." yeap, and they replied today to ask me go down for interview le!! YAYYYYY. mwahahahaa~

so i'm suddenly scheduled for TWO interviews, NONE of which are ADMIN jobs!! mwahahahahaa~ -rolls over in glee- hahaha okay, i sound a bit kua zhang.. but if you were stuck in an admin job previously for 7 whole friggin' months, you would be as kua zhang as me too. hahahaaa

oh i'm so suay today morning! i had a bad hair day, which i wonder why did not come ytd, so as to fit my uglified image for french. hahahaa~ okay, that aside. for the first time in duno how many donkey years, i woke up at 6+, so that don't have to fight for the toilet. zzzz. the last time i fought to bathe at home during morning rush hour was yr1,sem1. hahahaaa~ ooh then i left home as scheduled, so that i could reach 15min early and chat with xian (coz she cfm will be early one!), then i reached the mrt stn and realised i didn't bring my wallet! -.- so off i went to get it~ and i was late! bbbbwah!

yayy. then headed off to SAAC. had briefing and all that. then the children started coming in.. haaaha! some of them were quite cute. hehee. and i got paired up with the most hyperactive child! WAH. so smart~ they paired up the most hyp volunteer with the most hyp child! lols.. ok, i was jus warned that he'll run about alot.. but when he first came in, he kept crying..and crying..and crying..and throwing tantrum non-stop. haha i found out from his mum later that's coz he's quite musically inclined, then sometimes he'll have a rhythm playing inside him. and if the song they're playing/singing doesn't match the rhythm 'within' him, he'll kick up a very great fuss. and if you had seen it just now, you'll know what she meant. and i realise their anthem is Hocus Pocus. SO CUTE CAN! ahahaha~

okay, then the mum and teacher finally soothed him.. and he was actually VERY ADORABLE after that!! *smiles* heheee.. then he boarded the bus and walked right to the back and snuggled himself up in the corner seat and kept looking out for the rest of the trip. and so his mum says that's his fav seat. lols~ and he used to ask the person to get up of the seat in PUBLIC BUSES! wahaha~ but they teach him alrdy la, so now he no longer does that :)

then talked to his mum all the way to Discovery Centre.. and was quite impressed.. okay, maybe 'impressed' isn't quite the word. i don't know how to say la.. just felt very awed. hehee~ like, the mum is really doing alot to ensure the best for her child. and i could see throughout the whole excursion that the mum is really very very very VERY good at teaching her son. hehee~ if i ever become a mother in future, i want to be like her! -heh- and then i realised how true it was about Raj saying that every parent have dreams for their children, regardless of whether they are 'normal' or not. and i can see that G (the boy, not steph's boy. haha) really respects and loves his mum alot! =))

and then, we reached SDC. and i finally got enlightened about how the teacher said that G runs ALOT. seriously, i've never seen a kid who runs SO MUCH all my life. hahahaa. and was quite scared he'll get lost (he's only 7yo!), so we kept chasing after him. hahahahaa~ and there's this time he ran right into the room showing the stimulation show, and there was this whole class of sec sch students watching the show. then he suddenly dashed in, and i dashed in right after him like a crazy girl. then the group of boys behind started laughing and went "yo yo yooo!" -_-''' hahahahaa! it's quite embarrassing, but it was quite funny too actually. if i wasn't trying to hard to get G back, i would be laughing liao. lols. yeap. so i spent hours chasing him around. lols~

the rest of the kids were cute too.. hehe. xian's kid kept scrunching up his face, like wanna cry lidat. hahahaa then he PINCHES her! lols.. child abuse abused by child. ahahahas~ ohhh and G loves water (as in swim) and bread (as in food). lols.. so cute.. and he knows how to delay gratification can.. save the best for the last! lols.. and he shares his fooood! *awwwwwwww* so sweeeet. hehee~ and he loves fries! lols.. okay, i'm gushing over my lil' boy. heee~ :p

hehe.. supposed to meet the manics on wed in the evening for dinner! but we were secretly planning to celebrate jiaying's be-early bdae cum stephie's belated bdae! haha.. so stephie, xian, wluek and i met early to buy jiaying's pressie, then meimei, yam and mirror met to get stephie and jiaying's bdae cake! huiqi couldn't make it =(

haha.. went to build-a-bear to get jiaying's pressie.. i liked the bears, but they liked the dog. so i fan dui wu xiao, and we got a dog for her! hehe.. but it was nice too la. but the process was weird. esp. the part hafta warm the heart. omggg so weird. the person made us rub the heart and make a wish with it, then jul forced me to KISS the heart. -_-''' felt so retarded.. hahahaha. and the weird thing is..the dog not for any of us..so how come we're doing the wish-making? -.- hahahaa. like borrowing the bdae gal's luck! lols.. and so now baobei's dog got my hugs and kisses! gan dong hor? -.- ok, dun digress le. haha. then after stuffing the dog with cotton, we had to give it an air bath! -.-

first thing.. exams are OVER! =) and i screwed up the last paper as well, along with the rest -.- but..ohwells. it's OVER! :)

third thing.. had a date out with jul steph sx ytd @ Vivo! yayyyy. rocks man! hehe. so funnnnnnnnnnnnn =D and they were obviously SUPER HAPPY. cos' get to gossip about me. and poor me just stand there diam diam, all speechless and indignant. =( and to make it worse, i was trying to sms JIAYING to ask her whether wanna join us anot. then they talk talk talk confuse me, i go and ask JIEYANG instead. omg! so paiseh O_O hahahahhaa. i wanna bang my head on the wall le! and it's all thanks to my three 38 frens! -.- i MUST look for a new fei wen nan you for sx soon. she's SO dangerous! teaching jul and steph bad. no no NO. this is so not happening. urrrrgh. they actually SCHEMED sth out to dig out info from him! wahhhhh. can die mannnnnnn. pls stop gossiping about me! and jul, stop blogging abt rolling balls and burning fires pls!! n stephie pls lemme into the car first next time! urrrrgh. i dowan to become the talk of sx and family again! -.-''

forth thing.. i'll miss studying with ya guys in LWN! =) boophie xianxian jieyang jul! =) and reading stephie's entry made me feel all warm and gooey inside (: hehe. i'm glad we conquered hours of stats together, amidst lotsa talking, food, noise, LAUGHTER, etc.. hehe. although the paper still sucked eventually, and i'm quite scared i'll get a C too.. but STILL.. all's fun =) yayyyy!

tenth thing.. being home rocks (: moved out of hall today morning! hehe. gorgor helped. after that went to jp together and walk around. hehe. was so nice spending time with gorgor again! =D kept laughing while talking to him on the car. we talked so much that he missed the expressway exit on the way back and we ended up on the road to changi airport -.- wahahah! thanks, gorgor. you rawk. =) and i'll miss roomie!! =(

eleventh thing.. went to see yuxuan before going back to hall to move my stuff today morning. she so big liao! and still so cute. hehee. still so naughty, dun let others carry! =( hehe. finally learning to stand/walk! but she so lazyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy. i love yuxuan!! (: *huggies*

twelveth thing.. just helped mummy dye her hair. as in not those hoyu or wad dye.. but the salon loreal type of dye. and i was supposed to wear gloves. but no gloves, so use plastic bag. and the plastic bag so big keep slipping off that i got irritated and took it off. so dyed with my bare hands. and now the dye can't be washed off and my hand looks like SHIT. i hope i wun get allergy and rot soon. =X eeeeeek. really very ugly now. looks so stained. =( scarley it stays there all my life and it rots until i jia bu chu qu! wahahahaa~ so kua zhang. yayyyy. i love mummy! (: so nice seeing her everyday again. hehe. =D and mummy's food RAWKS my life. heheee. so nice from a change of canteen food!! ^^

thirteenth thing.. i want a part-time job! apart from studying and RA and autism. rawr. i need money. i wanna shop and play. so i need money. hahahhaa. so i want work.
